Biographical Information
Joo Hwan Oh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University. His main research interests span solid mechanics, multiphysics, elastic waves and elastic metamaterials. Much of his work has been on developing new elastic metamaterials and wave devices based on them. During his career, he has published various papers in the related field, including various remarkable papers such as the recent one selected as the Editor’s Pick in Applied Physics Letters. Currently, he is focusing on new approaches on elastic metamaterials, such as tunable metamaterials, advanced elastic metamaterials and their design methodologies.
